Inventory Management Software for Amazon Sellers

Amazon inventory may span marketplace orders, seller-held stock, fulfillment stock, inbound transfers, returns, and quantity held elsewhere. Finale Inventory, Cin7, and Ordoro each publish an Amazon connection, and they should be evaluated on the boundary between those states. A connector cannot make unclear ownership or delayed events disappear.

Buyer constraint: fulfillment stock and seller stock diverge

Consider a seller replenishing external fulfillment while continuing to ship other orders directly. An inbound transfer is received short, marketplace demand continues, and a return appears before its disposition becomes clear. Customer-service and purchasing totals no longer agree.

Finale Inventory deserves emphasis when centralized reservations, locations, kits, and multichannel availability lead the need. Cin7 deserves emphasis when purchasing, channels, warehouses, and fulfillment require broader coordination. Ordoro deserves emphasis when imported orders, labels, shipment states, and returns create the dominant errors.

What each vendor documents, as of October 2026

• Finale Inventory. Its Amazon integration page says Amazon orders import automatically every five minutes, that sellers can sync FBA and FBM inventory and update available stock, that FBA replenishment and inbound shipments can be followed, and that several Amazon marketplaces and accounts can be managed in one place. The page does not describe how Amazon returns are handled.
• Cin7. Its Amazon page says orders sync into Cin7 automatically whether Amazon or the seller fulfills them, that each sale, return or adjustment updates stock across both systems, and that its FBA integration tracks fulfillment-center stock separately from the seller's warehouse. It does not say whether this applies to Cin7 Core or Omni, or how a returned unit's condition is recorded.
• Ordoro. Its support articles say FBA quantities sync hourly into a dedicated FBA warehouse in Ordoro and can be sent to other channels such as Shopify, eBay, BigCommerce and WooCommerce. FBA orders import once a day, arrive marked as shipped, do not change the inventory count, and count toward the monthly order limit. Its Amazon partner page adds that orders containing FBA products can be routed to an Amazon fulfillment center and that tracking numbers are sent to Seller Central. The Ordoro pages cited here do not describe how merchant-fulfilled Amazon orders are imported or how returns are handled; confirm both with Ordoro.

Decision criteria for marketplace reconciliation

Map item identity, channel availability, seller-held quantity, fulfillment quantity, inbound state, reservations, shipment confirmation, cancellation, return, and adjustment. Define the authoritative source for each and the expected synchronization latency. Inspect duplicate prevention, stale warnings, retry permissions, and reconciliation by event rather than total alone.

Ask how a bundle or shared SKU affects stock offered elsewhere. A consolidated number should trace to facility, owner, status, and source event.

Reconcile movements as well as snapshots. Two systems can show the same ending quantity while missing a return and an offsetting adjustment. Match inbound, order, shipment, cancellation, return, and correction events through stable identifiers, then investigate omissions before accepting the total.

Create a scarce item and bundle. Send stock inbound, record a short receipt, accept overlapping orders, ship one directly, cancel another, and receive a pending return. If the vendor allows it, pause the Amazon sync while other channels or facilities continue, restore it, and inspect late events, duplicates, availability, and reports. Exception and conclusion: return exists without sellable disposition

Keep a returned unit physically present but pending inspection, then release or damage it through approval.
