Prices are the entry list prices each vendor publishes on its own US pricing page, read on Oct 27, 2026. They exclude taxes, payment processing unless stated, hardware, add-ons and negotiated discounts; a promotion appears only in the notes, labeled as one. Prices change. No vendor paid for a place or a price in this table.
Cin7 promises a lot in one place: inventory, orders, warehouses and sales channels connected into a single operation. Our premise for this page is that a business leaving it is seldom short of a feature. It is paying, in money or attention, for a connected platform when its pain sits in one corner of it. The alternatives below are ranked by which corner.
The ranking
- Finale Inventory, when the warehouse is the corner. It is positioned on centralized stock control and warehouse operations for sellers on several channels, which keeps the multichannel part of Cin7 while putting the stockroom first.
- Unleashed, when purchasing and margin are the corner. Built for wholesalers and product businesses that buy in volume and need to know what each product really earns.
- inFlow Inventory, when breadth itself is the problem. A focused stock, purchasing, sales order and barcode system for a team that wants fewer moving parts.
Why Finale Inventory comes first
The exit we rank for first is a seller whose channels work fine but whose warehouse does not: counts drift, pickers work around the system, and stock across two or three buildings never quite agrees. Finale's published focus is that problem. It also publishes a page about outside warehouses. Its 3PL industry page describes multi-warehouse tracking, a client portal where clients see current stock, and support for client-specific billing, shipping, labeling and reporting, with data kept in one database.
Read that page for what it is. It is written for 3PL providers serving several clients, and it does not document how stock for each client is kept separate or permissioned. Cin7's 3PL Connect page addresses the opposite case, a brand following its own stock across outside 3PL warehouses. If you are that brand and the 3PL link is what works well today, Finale is not automatically an upgrade; ask both vendors to walk through your own fulfillment setup.
When Unleashed is the better pick
A wholesaler's week is shaped by purchase orders, supplier lead times and the gap between landed cost and selling price. Unleashed is positioned around those purchasing, stock and product-margin workflows. Choose it if your Cin7 frustration is that the channel features you pay for matter less than knowing your margins by product and buying with confidence. It is the wrong choice for a business whose growth is in direct-to-consumer storefronts, because that is where Cin7's channel focus earns its keep.
When inFlow Inventory is the better pick
Some teams adopted Cin7 for the business they expected to become and are still running the business they have: one stockroom, a web store, a few wholesale accounts. For them, the right move is down in scope. inFlow Inventory concentrates on purchasing, sales orders, stock and barcodes, and it is aimed at small and midsize businesses rather than at a connected multi-site operation. The risk is the mirror image of why you left: if the second warehouse or third channel arrives next year, you may be back to evaluating Cin7.
When to stay on Cin7
Stay if more than one of the corners hurts at once. A business with several channels, more than one warehouse and outside fulfillment is the buyer Cin7 is built for, and in our view replacing it with a narrower tool moves the problem rather than solving it. Fix configuration and ownership first.
The question that decides it
List the last ten problems the operations team escalated. Tag each as warehouse, purchasing and margin, or complexity. Whichever tag holds the majority picks your trial: Finale Inventory, Unleashed or inFlow Inventory. If no tag holds a majority, that spread of problems is itself the argument for keeping Cin7.
